Portland Trail Blazers won over the Phoenix Suns thanks to Brandon Roy

altAll the fans of the famous NBA team Portland Trail Blazers have to be thankful to magnificent Brandon Roy who managed to score 52 points this Thursday for his team that were enough to win over the Phoenix Suns.

We want to remind to you that last Friday the career high 38 point performance wasn’t good enough for Portland Trailblazers’ star Brandon Roy that’s why he probably decided to better it by scoring 18 points this Thursday during the game against the Phoenix Suns. As you have already known this fantastic game ended with the victory of Portland Trail Blazers (124 points against 119 of the Phoenix Suns).

Roy finished with 52 points, shooting 14 of 27 from the field and 19 of 21 from the line, his biggest basket was a three-pointer that broke a 119-all tie at the one minute mark. The win ended Portland’s 11-game losing streak to the Suns.

It took a double overtime for Roy to set the previous career mark of 38 in a losing cause to the Los Angeles Clippers, but he needed just one quarter to top it against the Suns. Roy fueled a comeback from down 66-59 at the half with 39 points in the third quarter. At one point, the 6-foot-6 guard scored 14 consecutive points, helping the Blazers out-score Phoenix 39-27 in the period. Roy has averaged 36.4 points in his last 4 games.
